Our center’s mission is, above all, human assistance and promotion by integral education and formation of our students that attend our coursed and workshops. Most of them study because they are part of our «Sponsor a Child» program.

pROGRAM «SPONSOR A CHILD»

«Sponsor a Child» is a scholarship program that allows a boy or a young man to receive several courses or workshops in our Center within a year. The expenses of such courses and workshops are assumed by a «Sponsor» that makes an annual economic contribution.

«Sponsor a Child» allows us to help in the educational development of the country, that is reflected in the educational and moral growing of every one of our kids, young men and families.

When we began the Saint Peter Apostle Vocational School, we faced a hard reality: many parents weren’t able to pay the minimum cost of the workshops their kids received, due to the high poverty level in San Bartolo, Punta Negra, etc., generally in our country. This caused that many kids and young men abandoned the classes, even when they were necessary for them. Today, thanks to this program, we can give a better education for kids and young people. With the generous contribution of “Sponsors” we can offer more opportunities so that they can have a better future, developing their abilities and instructing them in a more integral way for the future challenges.

People who benefit with the program understand and thank this sponsorship. They understand that with this their education is better and the grace of God allows them to participate of a Church that receives them and gives them love and assistance. With just U$ 180.00 per year (in instalments or in one payment), you can help us to offer a boy the opportunity of a better life. With the annual renewal of this sponsorship our center can offer a sustained education for a better future of hundreds of boys and young people.

WHAT DO WE DO WITH WHAT WE RECEIVE?

Thanks to the program “Sponsor a Child”, almost 600 students, boys and young people, receive an integral education, rich in knowledge and values, that allows them to expand their life horizons:

Intellectual formation

• Computing course
• English course
• Sewing course
• Art workshops: Drawing and painting, music, dance, theater.
• Cooking workshops: Cooking, pastry making
• Sport workshops: Soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball

Spiritual formation:

• Meditation retreats
• Sunday catechesis in the “Mary apostles” club

Recreation:

• Rides
• Visits to archaeological centers, tourism places and religious ones, etc.
• Family encounters
