«I am thankful for my experience at the Solidarity
Center in San Bartolo, Peru. My time there was rich in caring and love in
a place that is oppressive and poor. The children are appreciative, eager
to learn, and friendly.
They were incredibly welcoming and excited to have
me there. The Solidarity Center is an amazing place that goes beyond
teaching academics or job skills.
The children at the center learn and experience
first hand, the importance of community and its place in their social and
religious growth. I take with me the memory of many wonderful experiences.
One that stands out for me involves the music department, and what
impressive musicians the children have become.
A trip to visit the Solidarity Center in Peru is not
to be reserved for only young people. Visitors of all ages can and will
make a difference. Now, I am part of a new family, and a part of the
larger community of Godâ?Ts people.
I am sure that others making the trip will find
benefit as well. I look forward to the time when I can return.»
