«From the moment I walked into the pastoral center in San Bartolo I knew I was going to have an unforgettable experience. The people welcomed me with such warmth and kindness. They are always full of joy and happiness even though they live in the most dismal of circumstances.

 

I taught English class, baseball, and basketball. Some of the other activities I participated in were painting an art classroom, visiting an extremely poor village were I played with the children and gave them gifts. Visiting them was the highlight of my 11 day.

It was really quite gratifying».
